Over the past 20+ years, Saltscapes has established itself as a recognizable East Coast brand – both for their magazine and their ever-growing annual Expo event.
With three separate websites (for their magazine, food and travel guide, and expo), the Saltscapes team decided to streamline their online presence and strengthen the brand by combining them all into one website.
I had the opportunity to wear many hats throughout this project, completing the UX research, wireframes, UI design, testing and QA during development, and content population via CMS.
Since Saltscapes Magazine was the primary segment of the website, and would house hundreds of stories and recipes, I wanted the website to emulate the printed publication with an obvious editorial style. I ensured all sections were easy to find, all content was easy to read, and digital advertisements could be seamlessly integrated.
